Empowered Medical Aesthetics was created to provide an inviting space for all clients. Whether you are new orexperienced, we ensure your experience is client-centred and never pushy. Moreover, if you are interested in aging naturally and receiving treatments that complement your lifestyle, we are the clinic for you. In addition, we get to know you personally and develop a treatment plan that delivers natural, sustainable results.
As a Registered Nurse with ICU experience, Katelyn comes from a meticulous, detail-oriented background. This experience shaped her into a science- and education-driven injector. Fast forward five years, she is about to complete her Master of Science – Nurse Practitioner stream. Consequently, she plans to expand her aesthetics practice andcontinue providing top-quality treatments. Additionally, she aims to grow her team and introduce more evidence-based practices and skilled practitioners.

KATELYN BURDEN, RN, BSCN
Katelyn is the founder and owner of Empowered Medical Aesthetics Inc. After working three years in the ICU and seven years as a kinesiologist, she discovered cosmetic injections unexpectedly. Although she played sports her whole life, including rugby and long-distance running, she immediately felt drawn to aesthetics. Soon after, she began developing Empowered Medical Aesthetics, combining clinical expertise with a passion for science and client-centered care.

HANNAH DUVAL
Hannah is currently pursuing her MLA and brings a deep passion for helping others, which drew her to medicine. With a strong background in childcare, she has developed exceptional patience, empathy, and the ability to guide clients thoughtfully. Consequently, she ensures every client feels supported and informed throughout their experience.
Beyond her professional dedication, Hannah loves spending time outdoors, exploring nature, and enjoying adventures with her beloved dog. Overall, her experience, compassion, and love for connecting with people make her an invaluable member of the Empowered Medical Aesthetics team.

MELISSA THOMAS
Melissa has worked in the aesthetics industry for 13 years. Initially, she started as a makeup and lash artist beforeshifting her focus to skin health. Over the past two years, she has specialized in advanced techniques that improve skin quality from the inside out. Additionally, she creates custom skin health plans for every client, because she knows beauty is never one-size-fits-all.
